Artist Statement Workshop - April 9th & 16th, 6:30 p.m.
This is a two-part teleconference workshop to help you bring that professional polish to your artist statement. Even if you are not an accomplished writer, you can create a statement that will do you and your artwork credit. With an individual research/team writing approach, you can write the ultimate artist statement. You know, the one that clarifies your vision AND intrigues the viewers. Be prepared to spend at least 10-15 hours working on your statement in the week between the conference calls.
The teleconference meets 2 consecutive Wednesdays: April 9 and April 16 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. The cost is $35, payable via PayPal or personal check. All profits from this workshop will be donated to a non-profit arts organization.

Images and Digital Submissions
This is an introduction to digital image management for artists. It includes a review of the most popular programs for image management. We discusses what works, what doesn't, and why. We also discuss the most effective methods for organizing your images to esure your effiency. We do cover some technical information-but in a painless and easy to understand way. One-hour and two-hour versions of this seminar are available.
Kids Fiber Art Workshop
This workshop is designed for 8 to 12 year olds, although younger children can be
accommodated
if accompanied by an adult. Kids pick one of up to 10 designs, created by Cheryl, and make their own fiber art version of it. Skills exercised in this workshop are precision tracing, precision cutting, color balance and composition. Each child takes their matted masterpiece home with them. Two-hour workshop, one volunteer assistant is required for every five children in the class. Maximum class size, about 20. This workshop can be modified for classroom use. All materials are provided for a great deal of fun.
Fiber Art Workshop
This workshop is designed for teens and adults interested in an introduction to fiber art. Participants create their own 8" x 10" designs or can use one of Cheryl's existing designs. We work with a variety of fabrics and colors to create a cohesive design that can stand on its own or be incorporated into a larger work. A version of this workshop is available for groups wishing to create one traditional or art quilt from their designs for display or fundraising purposes. Three-hour workshop. All materials are provided.
